Time check, 29/08/2008 0458hrs
Here goes a simple love story,
Boy went to his ex class mate BBQ somewhere last year July, his friend brought along a friend and he could sense some shyness from the Girl, so he went over and sat beside Girl and they strike their very first conversation. From the talk, Boy could tell his Girl is simple yet unique in a way.
Both of them are so immerse with their conversion, they did not notice that the whole lot is preparing to go home. Boy was feeling kinda down that he might not have the chance to see the Girl again, so he decided to walk with her from the bbq pit to the taxi stand with the rest. Everyone could tell there was something within us, Boy thought that she was attached and all and he didn't ask for her contact.
Boy initiate the idea of sending her home by his friend car, but the friend of the Boy didn't want to, still a stranger to her. So they gave the friend and the Girl a ride to his place so that they could take a cab home.
After they got off, Boy's friend asked, 'why you treat her so good? Are you up to some motive?'. He said this, 'nah, just feel like to, because she gave mi the feeling that i should care for her'. And they laughed, just about to light up his cigarette, a message came. Boy thought, 'who the hell would message mi at this hour, could it be...? No way, we didn't exchange contact at all!' The Girl actually messaged! 'Heh..' The Girl asked for the Boy's number from their same friend. The Boy instantly felt something going thru his whole body, 'could this be, love?'.
The Girl asked if they could talk on the phone that night, and that's their first phone conversation. Boy told Girl something, 'i don't really like to talk on the phone that much, because it feels no sincerety and i'm not a good talker, but if you don't mind i'll fine with it'. The next morning, Boy went back his secondary school for volleyball practice. He didn't want to think so much because she might just want to be his friend, that's all. And he was very afraid that he would hurt her because of the way he is, if they were together..
On his way to school, Girl messaged him 'good morning' And they talked on the phone again, this time round their conversation was even longer. Girl said she likes red and just coincidence, Boy was wearing his red jersey and he told her, 'i'm wearing my red jersey, so coincidence'. 'You must look good in red, i love red and i like those people in red'. Boy was even more afraid now, he scare she's just playing around, so he wouldn't dare to do much, he even tried to avoid it. But.. Once the feeling comes it can't be stopped.
When he reached school, he called her. Boy should be involving in the practice but, he just felt like hearing her voice so he talk to her.
Few days after, Boy told his good brother who is also his senior, 'Bro, i think i'm in love!' Boy could tell that the Girl has something for him too. So he arrange her to meet him after his open cup match every night, actually he wanted her to see him play in a match but time isn't right every time, as the Girl knock off work late. Finally, one fine night, the Girl went down. Boy went to the bus stop and fetch her, as they cross the road, he held her hands and cross the road but he could tell that she's feeling awkward so he let go.
But then again, he held her hands when he's reaching the rest of the team and he introduced, 'Ay, this's my girl friend!' Everyone was shocked! So did the Girl, cause the Boy place his arm over her shoulder as he introduce her to the rest.
He was deeply in love, but Boy's character, he must have the decision in the relationship, Boy has a big man thinking, because he wants this relationship to last. For he has seen and done alot, he must guide her to all the good.
They went off earlier and they took a long stroll along Kallang river, as much as he wanted to say 'i love you, would you be my girl friend?' He couldn't, because he hasn't assure her feelings for him. Being so sweaty and smelly, he brought up the idea of going home to shower first before sending her home. Girl waited outside the house for Boy...
Both of them sat at her staircase for a very long time so talk, out of impulse, the Boy place his arm over her shoulder again and bring her closer to him. And the first kiss was planted on her forehead before he went home. Girl messaged him, 'Err.. dear what are we now? Boy smiled in the taxi and replied, 'just like what you call me.. we are official for sure! i love you!'.
July 06 2008 was the day they were together..
Day passes, Boy showed his true colors, his character and his temper. He told her, 'Darling, i showing you this because i love you, i don't want you to have question like how exactly is my boy friend.' As much as he told her all those, he wish she would tell him all about herself too.
Week passes, love grew stronger but he went down to her work place and fetch her home from work. And even brought her back home to show his mom, he even show her to his room and wanted to tell her this, 'Darling, from this day on, this will be yours and my room, our room', but he couldn't bring up the courage to say the exact word.
Soon, they started quarrel, Boy would always scold Girl for doing all the bad stuff, because he don't wish to see her to learn all the bad things in life. There are no shortcut in life, in love too.
He always want her to understand why and how the quarrel start and learn from it. He knew she won't leave him no matter what happens, so did he.
He stopped going back for volleyball practices as much as he did before when he got his job. She was happy for him, he wanted to support her and start a family with her, many times he wish time would pass so quickly that they are already married. But, quarrels became more and more often, to him, quarrel are part of relationship and even in marriage, if there are no quarrel the love would not grow.
She has given him her first kiss, he felt like dying, dying in love. Alot of time he felt like so drunk, drunk in love. He couldn't bare to hurt her so he respected her in all aspect. Time after time, he wanted to meet her parent, to gain more trust from her parent. But Girl has some family issue, soon he knew this he wanted to help her but she said its okay. With just him in her life, she's contended.
Quarrels after quarrels, tears starting flowing down her beautiful yet innocent face. He felt the pain, but he has to let her feel the cruel judgement in life.
One day, he feel sick, admitted to hospital, Girl rushed down after her school to visit him and then rush off to work, days after days she cried seeing her love one laying on bed helplessly, he scold her for feeling sad as in he's gonna leave this world for good. But deep down, he wanted to say, 'darling, don't cry.. i will never leave you no matter what happen'. So he made a promise with her.
Each and everyday with her was heavenly, he just couldn't think that what if one day he can't care for her anymore. Life will be so miserably, but when he reminded himself that she won't leave him, he forgets all tension and smiled.
He was happy when friends around her said she changed for the good, she was under good influence he thought. So he taught her how to doll up herself even better, he was doing this for her own good.
Months later, Girl birthday came, he brought her to a restaurant for celebration and he even ask his mom and friends along. He was sad that she couldn't stay over as she had some dispute with her mom before coming down. But, he have to respect her mother's decision. He was really happy because that's the first time ever he get to celebrate birthday with his love one. He wanted to celebrate every birthday with her.
Their first valentine was splendid, he was happy that he is the one spending with her, to him. That was the best gift, and his gift for her was full of hellium baloons and a flower was hiding within, he knew she loves flower he gave her ever since he given her the first one. But time slip his head and he forgot hellium couldn't last long. Boy popped his car boot where he had his gift for Girl, to him it was complete failure but to her. It was full of loves..
Soon, Boy's birthday came. It was his 21st, he was really happy that Girl could celebrate with him with the rest, but he partially neglected Girl thru out the celebration, in his mind he thought she woudn't mind and all. But he was wrong..
Things became bad, he think back of all the tears she shed for him and the neglect he gave, he couldn't bare to hurt her so he came to the very last resort to ask her to leave him. As much as he do not want to, he had to, because he keep thinking that he can't bring any happiness to her. He said the most hurting words ever to her, to let her lose hope in him. But when he saw tears gathering up in her eyes, he felt bad and sorry. He wanted to tell her, 'i'm sorry, i shouldn't have done this.. i really love you, i scare you might leave mi one day' But he did not again.. he said, 'okay, lets just give us one more chance, the very next time we quarrel we'll just walk off ourselves'.
He hate to see her cry, because it hurts both of them. He always want to see her smile, without worries but in her eyes, he sees worries and hurt. Ever since that day, he told himself he must love her more, he started to shower her with more love, care and concern. He just couldn't bare to see her leaving him. Almost everyday, Boy said i love you to Girl, but he once told her, if he say 'i love you' everyday, she might think he's just saying for the sake of saying. But he make it to a point whereby, every time she stays over and in the morning, he would kiss her and say, 'i love you babe'.
Months pass, a year came, they celebrated their first anniversary. He was so drown with work burden that he forgot it! Mainly because he never celebrated it before, so he don't remember how important it is.
Things became very bad for them, when he knows she started lying about her late nights out with friends. To her, she calls them friends. But to him, he sees something more than that.. To Boy, she seldom hangs out so late and goes out oftenly, the time and the day they meet up eventually became lesser and lesser. He was really afraid of losing her so he forbid her to stay out so late without telling him. Boy decided to tell Girl how much he love her and wanted to get marry with her, but after he told her that, he saw something he think he should not have seen in her phone. All these while, Boy trusted her so he didn't went to find the group on his own, Boy just want to know the update because Girl would always say its all settle but to him, he can sense that is not settled.
She lied to him again, this time round he was really really angry. To him, when two complete stranger became lover, it ties down to commitment. He found out among the group Girl hangs out with, there's someone who likes her. They quarrelled, Boy brought up the idea of break up since he thinks she can speak a lie for that person.
He was really furious, and no matter how much Girl apologise it didn't went in, because he couldn't take it that the fact he told her how much he love her, she did that to him. Girl asked for other choice than break up, Boy has an alternative choice but he couldn't say out because he wants her to understand what she's doing isn't correct at all. So he decided to talk it over after her work. All he can think of is, to consult that person. To him, that's the best idea, but to her. She doesn't want him to do that, at that point. Boy thinks she's still defending for him, he was really upset.
Boy has always prioritise their love infront of anything elses, as long as she needs him he would try his very best to make it. Unless he was tie down with work. This time round, he wants her to understand that she has prioritise their love second infront of anything else, just for that time.
But when he knew he is gonna lose her, he did all he can to make her stay, but it was all too late. It all went to a point of no return, he do not know who can he turn to, he regretted giving her the chance to hang out with them. During the days of cooling down, he kept thinking that she will come back to him, but he didn't notice something important, that is.. Girl's love for Boy's started fading off as each day passes. As much as he do not wish to admit the fact, he had to eventually.
Boy's and Girl's love ended after 448 days, 38707200 hours... To date, he still can't accept the fact that he lost someone he loved so much. But he always deny that he love her that much. After he read the letter she wrote for him back when he was hospitalise, he cried. He still told himself, to give them time, he thought she would go back to him but... Girl has confessed her love for that guy and they got together.
Boy hate to admit that but he have to in order to move in, boy just hope the decision she made this time isn't wrong and always be happy like when they are together, or rather happier. No one could understand how Boy felt after all this, the pain and retreat he got to sacrifice. After all happened, Boy finally knew how much torture and pain he had let Girl been thru, crying nights and all. He enjoy every days of their life together... This time round, Boy was the one who couldn't let go.
He understand if one day Girl were to return, the feeling won't be the same unless both of them are really to start all over again, but.. The day won't come, for sure, she has found happiness with that guy. Boy has given them their blessing, no matter how much he wants to deny its all nightmare, he can't. Because, in reality, it happened.
Boy's sentiment. He been thru a period of time when he felt love and loved alot.. He do not wish to end this cruel ending because he believes if he loves someone, he shouldn't be bothered about her past and wrong doings. He would over come it with the Girl if she's willing to give them both a chance. The Boy still loves the Girl deeply and it has not stop since it started, he believes in her.. Giving more won't shorten your life, don't assume that oppersite party knows how much you love them like the way they love you. NEVER lie, not at all. When you start a relationship, the word commitment is a massive action..
To guys, when your love on says she love you, she really meant it. Give her the assurance of love, because she needs it. When your love one says she needs you, she hopes you can be there for her, even if its just a phone call away, because its you that she loves. Actions and words are what they need and hope to hear.
