time to update.
These few days only one thing is running in my head, money, money and still money. Why? This entry will explain why izzit so important to make money, specially in my lime age.
The chance to attend Prudential's 2007 award dinner is rather a special night for me. A chance to get closed to those i've read about their career and before joining PTO, its like magical. They seem very ordinary to me too but they know it themselve, they are unique in a very ordinary way. Why? Take this for an example, if someone approaches you with a job opportunity as an insurance agent, the first and only reply you'll get.
'Sorry, i don't like to approach people.' 'Sorry i can't do talking.' 'Sorry i'd rather seek something i have interest in.'You'd be surprise if you were in my shoe that night,
AUNTIES and
UNCLES in their late 40 plus are in the unionship as well and they are doing good! Some are even awarded
best agent and some award
best leader for leaders. Very motivating! Most of us would rather work something we have more interest in, why? Cause we like it. But i'm sure most of us do understand in terms of
'passion' in job, draw a very low pay. At first things will seem exciting as all new events are. Soon,
money becomes an issue in life after marriage, when newborn babies and aging parents squeeze into the same picture. Before long, the interest for this particular
'job of passion' will cease to grow and will soon fade away.
Monetary rewards will then take over as the main consideration for their next job.
Insurance line may not be suitable as human beings generally value image and ego more as we age. Money cannot solve everything, but at least in this case, it can solve the bread and butter issues for one to keep on pursuing one's interest. How would you feel if your
peers were earning much more than us?
Before i continue with anything, i'm not 'begging' nor 'asking' any of my readers to take up this line with this post, just a point of view from Guni, myself. Here's a theory from Mr Peter Tan from PTO he himself. He call it, "3/30 Theory".
Do you want to spend 3 years of your life working to earn the income for the next 30 years, or 30 ears of your life to earn the income that you can actually earn in only 3 years? You might wonder how the hell we're able to achieve that? Truly its very impossible but a noble remark to poly graduates & fresh graduates who thinks this job isn't something for
'highly educated person with five degrees and professional qualifications'. In life, we got to achieve something out from our career, an entrepreneurial person will think in this way. "See what others do not see and do what others do not do" and do strongly belief in this sentence "you reap what you sow".
Till here you might think i'm saying all the good points about insurance advisor what about the bad points. Of course, every job there's good and bad, up and down. You can't expect good days and you'll get client every now and then. There is
'rainy days' in insurance line too, or rather
drought. After all, 'life is like a box of chocolate, you will never know what you going to get'. Hard work with a strong-will would definately pay off. Rest assure that no
discrimination or
status respect is within us, all of us are like family, brothers and sisters. True friends are those who stand by your side and fight with you. Who knows one day clients might be your true friends or even working with you. I strongly believe this is the
'in-thing' in working society, backstabbing, cursing, discriminations & status respect is within the company, office or group. This way, none will achieve anything.
HIGH risk, HIGH returns! Just remember this, SKY IS THE LIMIT. Gonna end off with something called
SUCCESSSUCCESSSuccess means something different to each one of us, but it comes to those who are willing to work hard and who continue to be dedicated to making their dreams come true.
Success means setting goals and focusing yourself in the right direction in order to reach them. It means believing in yourself and constantly reminding yourself that you are capable of achieving your desires.
Above all, success is behing who you are, and feeling proud of yourself for every task and challenge that you face and conquer along the way. -Steven Peh "Treasure each day as it comes and make full use of it. Live your life with no regrets..." one of the top advisor of PTO.
